Suggested Itinerary
Take a comfortable Eurostar from London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet International to Paris, then change onto the high-speed TGV service which will take you through France to the south coast.
On arrival at Nice Ville station in the evening, make your way to the Hotel de la Fontaine (or similar) where you will have a 3-night stay.
Nice is the largest city along the French Riviera and boasts one of the prettiest urban sea fronts in Europe, easily walkable by means of the famous Promenade des Anglais. Don’t miss a visit to the Old Town, where you’ll find plenty of tempting boutiques and cafes, along with a vibrant flower market, open 6 days a week.
TMR RECOMMENDS: Why not take a day trip along the coast to Monte Carlo? The journey takes just under 25 minutes by train and you can easily buy tickets locally (or we can add these to your booking if you would prefer).
It’s just a short journey along the cast from Nice to Cannes. You can use your tickets to travel whenever you would like. Alternatively, why not hop off the train in the lovely resort town of Antibes and stop for lunch?
Once you arrive in Cannes, check in for 3 nights at the Best Western Premier Mondial (or similar). Once you’ve settled in at your hotel, it’s time to head out to begin your exploration of this quintessentially French town, famous for its international film festival.
Whilst in Cannes, you will have time to wander along the seafront boulevard of La Croisette, catch some sun on the beautiful sandy beach and sample the boutiques and small restaurants of the Old Town.
You might also like to take a boat trip to out to the beautiful Îles des Lerins or head inland to visit the pretty Provençal town of Grasse with its famous perfumeries.
Return to the station and catch a TGV service back to Paris, where you make the easy transfer to the Gare du Nord and your Eurostar journey home.
TMR RECOMMENDS: As you are so close to the Italian border, why not visit for a few days? The famous Cinque Terre, Milan or the Italian Lakes are within easy reach in a day from Cannes.
