These are the perfect solution if you’re going to be based in one destination for a while. Our partners at The Baggageman will collect your case(s) before you depart and they will be waiting for you in your hotel when you arrive, leaving you free to hop on and off trains unencumbered, armed with just a daypack and essential supplies.
For added peace of mind or comfort at the end of a long day of travel, transfers can be a great way of getting between your arrival station and your hotel or making a connection between one station and another. An exciting new addition to our portfolio, My Daytrip transfers give you the chance to ‘join the dots’ in areas where there are limited or no rail services. As well as getting a price just from A to B, you are also given the option to make one or more stops en route with a small additional cost. Popular examples include:
Ronda to Seville via the village of Setenil de las Bodegas, carved into a sheer rock face. This transfer is currently included in our Andalucia in Detail Itinerary.
Split to Dubrovnik via stunning Mostar with its famous Ottoman bridge (pictured).
Patras to Athens via the Corinth Canal. This transfer is currently included in our Rome to Athens itinerary.
Again, if you have something in mind, just let us know and we can get a price for you.
If you know you want to go to a popular attraction like the Uffizi Gallery in Florence or the Alhambra Palace in Granada, it’s often a good idea to book in advance, particularly as some of these have a limited amount of entrance tickets and can sell out.
Let us know if there’s somewhere you really want to visit and we can usually pre-book tickets for you so you don’t have to queue on arrival. These tickets are, of course, always subject to availability.
We can book ahead for performances at La Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, the Arena di Verona and Vienna State Opera House. If you would like tickets for something else, just let us know and we may be able to help.
Many trains stations across Europe and further afield have depots where you can pick up a car. If you want to add a few days and explore where the rail network doesn’t reach, this is a great option. Just let us know if you would like to add car hire to your booking.
