The luxurious twin and double cabins aboard the Royal Scotsman provide a welcome sanctuary after a day in the Highlands. Lined with rich marquetry, each one features plush beds fitted with soft Scottish wools and tartans. There is also an ensuite cabin in each cabin along and a dressing table. The generous picture windows are perfect for admiring the passing scenery.

With its spectacular rolling backdrop, there’s surely no better venue to taste the best produce of Scotland than the mahogany-panelled dining cars of the Belmond Royal Scotsman. The menu regularly includes wild salmon, seasonal seafood and local game. A selection of fine wines, liqueurs and malt whiskies are an ideal accompaniment. These are included in your package.

Relax and enjoy your leisure time onboard with a good book or the latest paper. You can take fantastic photographs from the open-air veranda at the rear of the train. The recent addition of the Bamford Haybarn Spa carriage marks a world first in the pursuit of perfect pampering. Sit back and enjoy one of the all-natural therapies on offer in one of two treatment rooms.
