After breakfast at the hotel, make your way back to the bus stop for the same bus back to Colmar, again payable locally to the driver. On arrival at Colmar station, you then have an open ticket to Strasbourg – there are frequent trains and the journey time is around half-an-hour.
Once you reach Strasbourg, check in at the centrally-located Maison Rouge (or similar) for an overnight stay, and set out to explore the largest of Alsace’s Christmas Markets in the region’s iconic capital.
